The staff office

The responsibility of the staff office is to ensure a solid organizational, procedural, and administrative foundation for the Federal Joint Committee (G-BA) to fulfil its legal mandate as a decision-making body, and for its orderly proceedings.

The staff office ensures impartial, autonomous management of the committees, as well as adherence to the rules of procedure and the transparency of all proceedings.

The responsibilities of the staff office include preparing and following up on sessions, drafting discussion and decision papers, taking minutes, facilitating workgroup meetings, providing legal and methodological advice for the committees, conducting scientific research, responding to queries, managing correspondence, and conducting press and public relations work.
