Tracking bureaucracy costs

Effective 1 September 2012, the GBA is obliged to track the expected bureaucracy costs for new documentation and information obligations associated with its resolutions, and to present them in the rationale for each resolution in a way that is understandable. This responsibility is based on a new regulation in the SHI Healthcare Provision Act (GKV-VStG). Lawmakers have defined the standard cost model of the National Regulatory Control Council as the basis for tracking bureaucracy costs. The GBA regulates the details in its bylaws (German only) and Rules of Procedure (German only).
